Drew Cantrell enters his first year as the Head Men's and Women's Tennis at LaGrange College in 2021-22.
He was a four-year member of the Panther tennis program from 2014-17. Cantrell won 22 singles matches and emerged victorious during doubles action 27 times. During his college days, he spent summertime back home coaching tennis clinics for the Charles Johnson Foundation.
As a freshman and sophomore, Cantrell qualified with his team for the USA South Tournament. During his rookie campaign, he boasted an impressive 9-5 mark in doubles competition. The 2017 unit won 10 matches, a program record at the time.
The Unadilla, Georgia, native competed as a two-sport varsity athlete at Hawkinsville High School, graduating in 2012. He earned a bachelor's degree in business and sports management from LC in 2017.
Cantrell has been an assistant coach for the tennis program at Callaway High, helping the squad reach the semifinals in each of the last three years. During that time, the program has broken numerous school records, including winning the first boys' region championship.
In March, Drew married Casey Cantrell (Pruett).
